The problem
Every project needs access to accounts the client owns. The default is a form — paste the key here, we will keep it safe. One agency database holding twenty clients' gateway keys is a better target than any one of those clients.
The solution
Each client gets a guided page covering the services a project needs. Every field is marked public or secret. Public values get a real input. Secret values get no input at all — the page explains how to add us as a user on the client's own account instead.
What we built
- Web
- Per-client onboarding hub with screenshotted, step-by-step instructions
- Security
- Public/secret field taxonomy; no secret ever enters the database
- Handover
- One-click access revocation at project close, logged
