The problem
Retail buyers were starting to ask for provenance and the answer lived in a collection of paper procurement slips. Answering one query meant a person going through a box of receipts.
The solution
Procurement captured on a phone at the collection centre, a crate label that carries the lot, and a buyer-facing lookup that answers the provenance question in a second rather than a day.
